The goal of this project was to change the perception of a space. My partner and I decided to cover up a window with a blank canvas and project scenes onto it. The view could become whatever we wanted, as opposed to the normal view of the adjacent building. We first went out and shot the different scenes that we thought might be interesting to see when looking out the window. After that I took the footage and masked it behind a photo of the window. We then had to draw up plans to mount the projector from the ceiling. When the final plans were decided upon, we built and installed the mount. After the project was installed, the director of my department asked me to propose plans to have the ceiling mount permanently installed. The plans were accepted and the mount is currently in place.
