Synthetic systems found in factories were filmed and then projected onto surfaces found in natural systems. The product of these projections were filmed and then projected once again onto concave and convex surfaces in a gallery space. Factory sounds are played through speakers placed behind the surfaces. Systemantics takes the movements of machines found in a factory system and transports them out of context to a place where they would not normally exist. Once in this new environment, the machines are projected onto natural objects adding movement to their surface and also mimicking their form. The mechanical properties that are projected onto the natural objects become an allegory for the natural surfaces they are projected on.
